Fallopia baldschuanica,
Russian vine, mile-a-minute vine

Family Polygonaceae
Russian vine, mile-a-minute vine

Growth habit of the Russian vine or mile-a-minute vine, Manistee County, MI, October 2012
Leaves about 2-4 inches long, dainty white flowers with 5 parts, and a winged, 3-part seed case. This climbing vine in the knotweed family is native to Asia, but is planted as an ornamental. There is some concern about its becoming invasive, since it grows extremely fast.
