Jeffersonia diphylla,
twinleaf

Family Berberidaceae
twinleaf

Leaves of twinleaf, Morgan County, OH, April 2017
This is considered a high quality and rare plant in many states. The origin of the name twinleaf is easily seen, with the strongly divided leaves. The flower is white with eight petals, similar to bloodroot. Seeds are dispersed by ants.
