Heads of Field Garlic, Mason County, MI, June 2017
Field garlic is considered a serious invasive plant of farmlands. Milk and meat can become tainted with a garlic flavor when livestock graze on the plant. Stems are hollow. There may be small white flowers, but often there are none, only the tails emerging from the dark bulblets. Alien.
