Blanding's Turtle, Mason County, MI, April, 2010
Blanding's turtle is considered endangered. the shell is high and round. It may be more or less spotted, but the turtle's chin is always yellow. They prefer secluded wetland areas. This particular turtle appears to be at least as large as the state record.
